✨ But wait wait first take a short introduction about Hacktoberfest .

Now Its enough So let’s get started :;:

🔭 My experience With Hacktoberfest

In September 2019 , when I just started learning about the open source contribution only for security tools, I came to know some of the open source contests and Hacktoberfest-2019 was one of them. I searched about it in google and got the official site after reading some more about it and registered for this amazing contest, in which I had to submit 4+PR b/w time period of contest to be successful participant and win the swag and badge .

✨ Got to https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/ and registered their.

So I had registered now it was a time to start contributions but how?

So I searched about some beginner’s repo for newbies in open source github and find out my first contributions repo named as first-contributions. In which I had to submit PR to register my name in contributing.md file

You will find everything about GitHub repository in README and Contribution file.

Then I had contributed to some other repositories related to python based security tools and it was amazing to work with other developer’s.But then I thought why should I not create my own repository and work with other coder all over the globe as a git repo maintainer . So because back then I was working on basic Python and JavaScript , I decided to design to repo related to basic Python and JavaScript scripts in a nutshell.

I published both repository in between my first Hacktoberfest , and it was insanely cool because approximately 60-70 developers all over the globe was contributing to both of my repository .

You can contribute these projects in this year Hacktoberfest.

I was on high and obviously learning from all of them.

At the end of the month October (Hacktoberfest — 2019) I checked out my Hacktoberfest profile and it was party time , all of my PR was merged and I finally completed my first open source contest. I received some cool swag from Digital-ocean and Dev.To and badge of honour in my Dev.To profile.

Dev.to is a blogging platfrom , constructive and inclusive social network for developers and open source contributors and I am also a blogger in dev.to.
